 Woodwind Definitions
GPC: Instrument is thoroughly adjusted and regulated, replacement of any key corks necessary, replacement of one tenon cork or neck cork and up to two pads. If additional work is required the customer will be called with an estimate.

Chem-Clean: Instrument is disassembled. Keys are polished as possible without damaging pads.
Body parts are given a chemical bath and machine polished. In reassembly, pinned mechanisms are
cleaned and oiled. Instrument is adjusted and regulated for good playing condition. Pad and cork
replacement is additional.

Complete Repad: Instrument is disassembled. All body parts and keys are chem-cleaned. Wooden
body parts are oiled or waxed. All tenon, neck and head corks are replaced. Pads, key corks, leathers,
Teflon or plastic tubing and felts are replaced. All rods, screws and hinge tubes are cleaned and oiled.
Instrument is adjusted and regulated for like new playing condition.

 

Brass Repair Definitions
Chem-Clean: Instrument is disassembled. All parts are chemically cleaned. All tubing is brushed
inside and out. Corks, felts and bumpers are replaced and minor dent work performed. Water key
springs are replaced if necessary. Rotary instruments are restrung. Mouthpiece is cleaned and polished.
Instrument is lubricated, wiped and play tested. Parts are additional. Excessive dents or badly stuck
slides is additional. A chem-clean does not restore lacquer or plated finishes.

 

To Help Alleviate Recurring Problems With Repairs......

1) Do Not Promise Repair Work!
2) Repairs are guaranteed for 90 days. Anyone with complaints should return the instrument with their copy of the repair ticket to the technician that preformed the work. If the problem is due to improper workmanship or faulty material it will be repaired at no charge. Any non-related problems will be charged.
3) Please - Fill out the repair tag completely. Complete name, Telephone Number, Date, Instrument Type, Brand and Serial Number, Problem with the horn, Store Number and Initials of the person taking in the repair.
4) Do not take in repairs without the complete instrument. For example: Bass Clarinets with no neck or bell, Saxophones with no neck, etc...
5) Repairs taken in without a case can not be guaranteed.
6) Please note the contents of the case on the repair tag. For example: List if mouthpieces, neckstraps, cleaning accessories, etc... were taken by the customer.
7) Instrument brands that are not recognizable companies or when parts are not available will be repaired or not repaired at the technicians discretion. If you have any questions about a brand of
instrument, please call.

8) Unless you are a repairperson, Do not give estimates!
9) Do Not Promise Repair Work!
